Proper nutrition, resistance exercise, good sleep, meaningful relationships, and even brain stimulation are all important lifestyle habits that should be advised. But there are ways to enhance those healthy choices you’re making even further. Here’s the science and literature we follow

Maintain Your
Healthy Weight

GLP-1s have made headlines in both positive and negative light. There’s no question about the effectiveness of weight loss using these drugs. But did you know that weight loss was only a happy side effect?

When utilized effectively, GLP1s can start the longevity journey
for you in several ways

GLP-1s Improve patient bone metabolism and density.

This study concluded that: “there are evidences that GLP-1RAs and their analogs can enhance bone density and improve bone quality. GLP-1RAs and their analogs may play an anti-osteoporosis role by promoting bone formation and inhibiting bone absorption.

GLP-1s Improve Muscle Health

Muscle health is incredibly important for any longevity plan as it provides protection, and will improve immune function. This study concluded that “LP-1 infusion potently expands muscle microvascular surface area, increases muscle delivery and uptake of insulin, and improves insulin’s metabolic action in both acute and chronic insulin-resistant states. This may contribute to improved glycemic control seen clinically in diabetic patients receiving incretin-based therapies and afford potential to improve tissue/organ function and reduce morbidity and mortality associated with diabetes via microvascular recruitment and increased tissue perfusion.

GLP-1s Improves Sleep for Sleep Apnea Patients

Any longevity plan must address sleep especially in those patients with obstructive sleep apnea which often goes undiagnosed. This study concluded that “Given the high percentage of underdiagnosed sleep apnea in patients with diabetes and/or obesity, early initiation of GLP-1RA medication therapy can have superior benefits and reduce the need for polypharmacy especially in older individuals with multimorbidity.

GLP-1s Improve the Gut Barrier and Gut Microbiota

Leaky gut is often the cause of low-grade and chronic inflammation which must be addressed long term for those patients who are interested in a complete longevity plan. This study concluded that “The beneficial effects of GLP-1 have been attributed to its roles in improving intestinal barrier functions through stimulating crypt cell fission, downregulating proinflammatory cytokines by immune cells, and modulating gut microbiota.

GLP-1s May Assist Patients with PCOS and Low Ovarian Egg Reserve in Fertility Efforts

“Ozempic™ Babies” is a quickly trending term in patients, and it’s no surprise why. This study concluded that “the weight loss effects of GLP-1 RA offer a unique opportunity to expand the treatment options available to PCOS patients. This may be extremely useful under some circumstances, such as in assisted reproductive settings when women seeking help for infertility have advanced age and/or poor ovarian reserve. Moreover, these women, being overweight/obese, carry higher risks during controlled ovarian stimulation and throughout pregnancy, which can be minimized by a pretreatment with the specific goal to significantly reduce body weight.”

GLP-1s Improve Neuroinflammation and Synaptic Function which Alleviates Depression

Depression is a biochemical result of several potential factors, with one of the main causes being neuroinflammation. This study concluded that “ GLP-1 is a useful therapeutic modulator of depression, suggesting that abnormal alteration of neurotransmitter levels in the depressive brain results in mood impairment and cognitive decline…we reviewed the role GLP-1 in promoting neuronal differentiation and neural stem cell proliferation in the depressive brain.”

In addition, they found that “GLP-1 is a promising target for the treatment of depression because impaired neurogenesis ability and the reduction of neuronal differentiation leads to multiple depressive pathological symptoms…GLP-1 can enhance cognitive decline by improving synaptic function in the depressive brain. GLP-1 ameliorates synaptic dysfunction in the depressive brain and subsequently leads to the enhancement of cognitive function.

GLP-1s Improve Innate Immune Modulation

This is especially important in a complete longevity plan as prevention is the best medicine. This study found that “GLP-1 is able to modulate innate immune response in a number of inflammatory diseases.” The study evaluated this against diabetes, cardiovascular disease, disorders of the nervous system, tumors, and asthma.

GLP-1s Are Therapeutic to Cardiovascular Disease

Cardiovascular disease is still the leading cause of mortality in the United States, so it’s no question that cardiovascular issues must be addressed in a complete longevity protocol. This study found that “GLP-1RAs are a class of agents with pleiotropic activities additional to the lowering of blood glucose. These pleiotropic effects include the reduction of BW and BP, the improvement of lipid metabolism and a spectrum of cardioprotective effects.

GLP-1s Protects Patients from Alzheimer’s and Dementia

These critical neurodegenerative diseases are often directly caused by years of poor nutritional choices. In this random, placebo-controlled, double blind clinical trial, it was concluded that “In AD patients with long-standing disease, 26 weeks of liraglutide treatment prevented the expected decline of CMRglc (glucose metabolism) that reflects disease progression, as observed in the placebo group.

Improve Your
Hormonal Balance
With Sermorelin

Human growth hormone (hGH or GH) is a protein produced in the body that plays a crucial role not only in childhood but also throughout adulthood. GH is produced by the pituitary gland, often referred to as the “master gland” because it secretes numerous hormones that regulate the activities of other glands. The hypothalamus, a region in the brain, signals the pituitary gland to produce GH. Once released, GH travels through the bloodstream to perform its functions in various parts of the body.

Although the primary role of Growth Hormone (GH) is to facilitate growth during childhood, it remains crucial in adulthood. For both adults and children, GH plays a vital role in regulating metabolism, the essential process by which the body converts food into energy, tissues, or waste.

GH is involved in molecule transport, sugar conservation, protein synthesis, and fat breakdown. The GH produced by your body is essential not only for maintaining a healthy body composition but also for ensuring proper bone density, heart muscle function, and healthy cholesterol ratios. These functions are important for reducing the risk of conditions such as high cholesterol and osteoporosis.

Therefore, adults, like children, must maintain adequate GH levels. Insufficient GH in adults can lead to an increased risk of serious health issues, including cardiovascular and bone diseases, later in life.

REMEMBER: It’s not about having MORE GH that’s important in longevity, it’s about having the right balance of hormones for YOU.
