Why Not Brand Name
GLP-1s Like Ozempic®?

Compounded medications are patient-specific formulations prepared in a state Board of Pharmacy
or FDA-licensed compounding facility, based on a prescription from a licensed healthcare professional. These medications must use ingredients from
FDA-licensed sources and undergo testing for
potency, sterility, and purity.

Although compounded medications are legal, they do not receive pre-market approval from the FDA because they are not mass-produced for the public. Instead, they are made to order based on specific prescriptions from medical professionals. As a result, the dosage, route of administration, and efficacy may differ from commercially available, brand-name drugs.

Longevity Meds partners exclusively with the top licensed sterile compounding pharmacies in the United States.

It’s not willpower,
it's human biochemistry

Traditional diets fail because nearly 70% of your weight is determined by genetics. With the right medication, you can align with your body’s natural processes to achieve safe, sustainable weight loss.

There’s a reason semaglutide is the talk of the town: it works! On average, people using Ozempic or Wegovy shed 15% of their weight in a year or less, but results may vary.

How Does Longevity Meds Work?

Longevity Meds is much more than a telehealth company. We have made weight loss and longevity accessible to all with these easy steps:

  1. Fill out the medical intake form. If necessary, follow up lab work may be required for certain people to ensure safety and efficacy.
  2. At your leisure, speak with your practitioner through the telehealth video call appointment.
  3. When approved, receive your medication within 2-4 business days, and select when you’d like to be refilled (30, 60, 90 days).

We aren’t in the business of short term, so if there is something we can help you with, please let us know.

What about the side effects of GLP-1?
  • Some patients will experience side effects which ranges from nausea, to more severe states. This is why it’s so critical to work with a licensed practitioner who is well versed in GLP-1’s with Longevity.
  • Depending on your medical history, follow up lab work may be required for certain people to ensure safety and efficacy.
  • The short term is not part of our plan. We are thinking about your immediate goals and how they can work into a comprehensive longevity plan that will help manage weight, reduce risk of age-related conditions, while keeping the heart, brain, and your other vital organs in the best shape possible.
How much does Longevity Meds cost?
  • The price is determined by your selection with the lowest monthly plan being $249. This includes everything you need to take the GLP-1, Practitioner consultation, and shipping. There are no hidden fees and you can cancel anytime.
How does this compare to Ozempic® and other brand names?
  • FDA-approved brand name drugs like Victoza®, Wegovy®, Rybelsus®, and Ozempic® are exclusively available from Novo Nordisk™. Mounjaro™ is exclusively available from Eli Lilly and Company.
  • Longevity Meds has no affiliation with, or endorsement from, these products or entities and does not offer any of the aforementioned products. Anyone seeking these specific medications should consult their licensed healthcare provider or pharmacist.
  • Longevity Meds specializes in compounded medications, which are prepared in State Board of Pharmacy-licensed sterile compounding pharmacies or FDA-licensed outsourcing facilities. These facilities are highly regulated, but the compounded medications they produce are not FDA-approved since they are made based on individual prescriptions for specific strengths. Due to variations in strength, dosage, route of administration, and other factors, compounded medications differ from FDA-approved drugs, making direct comparisons of results and risk profiles challenging.
Where do my Prescriptions come from?
Prescriptions will come from our pharmacy partner – Precision Pharmacy located in 3999 Dixie Hwy., Boca Raton, FL 33431.
What states do we ship to?
Longevity Meds.life is not available to customers living in the following states: Alabama, Arkansas, Alaska, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, North Dakota, Louisiana, Missouri, and California.
Is this a generic of Ozempic® or Wegovy®?
  • No. Ours is a compounded version of those brand names with the same active ingredient.
  • Compounded medications are patient-specific formulations prepared in a state Board of Pharmacy or FDA-licensed compounding facility, based on a prescription from a licensed healthcare professional. These medications must use ingredients from FDA-licensed sources and undergo testing for potency, sterility, and purity.
How much weight will I lose?
  • It will differ per patient and their medical histories but typically, Longevity Meds patients can expect to lose about 5% of their initial body weight. This can fluctuate up and down based upon your lifestyle, but a healthy weight loss goal is to lose between 1-2 lbs a week. The last thing we want to do is go overboard with extreme weight loss that is too fast for the body to keep up.
How fast will I get my meds?
  • After the practitioner consult, our patients will typically receive their medication within 2-5 business days. For Patients located in California please be advised that the state requires additional compound testing.
What is the age requirements for treatment?
  • Patients must be 18 years or older for GLP-1 treatment.
How do I cancel?
  • We will make your cancellation straightforward. Simply email support@longevitymeds.life and one of our helpful agents will assist.

Semaglutide and tirzepatide are both medications used for managing diabetes and weight loss, but they have some differences in their composition, mechanism of action, and clinical applications.

Semaglutide

  1. Class: Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist.
  2. Mechanism of Action: Mimics the action of the incretin hormone GLP-1, which increases insulin secretion, decreases glucagon secretion, slows gastric emptying, and reduces appetite.
  3. Indications:
    • Type 2 diabetes mellitus (to improve glycemic control).
    • Chronic weight management in adults with obesity or overweight with at least one weight-related condition.
  4. Administration: Available in both injectable form (e.g., Ozempic®, Wegovy®) and oral form (e.g., Rybelsus®).

Tirzepatide

  1. Class: Dual glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and GLP-1 receptor agonist.
  2. Mechanism of Action: Activates both GIP and GLP-1 receptors, leading to enhanced insulin secretion, reduced glucagon secretion, delayed gastric emptying, and decreased appetite. The dual agonism is thought to provide a synergistic effect on glucose control and weight loss.
  3. Indications:
    • Type 2 diabetes mellitus (to improve glycemic control).
    • Potential use for weight management (under investigation and not yet approved solely for this purpose as of now).
  4. Administration: Administered via subcutaneous injection (e.g., Mounjaro™ and Zepbound™).

Key Differences

  1. Mechanism: Semaglutide targets GLP-1 receptors, while tirzepatide targets both GIP and GLP-1 receptors, potentially offering a broader mechanism of action.
  2. Efficacy: Tirzepatide has shown greater reductions in HbA1c and body weight compared to semaglutide in clinical trials.
  3. Approval and Indications: Semaglutide is approved for both diabetes and weight management, while tirzepatide is currently approved for diabetes and is being investigated for weight management.
  4. Administration: Semaglutide offers more flexibility with both injectable and oral forms, whereas tirzepatide is only available as an injection.

Clinical Considerations

  • Side Effects: Both medications can cause gastrointestinal side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. The dual mechanism of tirzepatide may lead to different side effect profiles and tolerability.
  • Patient Suitability: Choice between these medications depends on individual patient factors, including specific health needs, preference for oral versus injectable medication, and response to treatment.

Both medications represent significant advancements in the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity, with ongoing research to further understand their long-term benefits and risks.
